Modelling a Continuous Pan Installation using Sugars™ for Windows® - Presented to the International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ISSCT) meeting, February 2005, Guatemala City, Guatemala by L. New Developments in Information Technologies - Published in volume CVII, issue no. 1273, 38-41 (English), 42-46 (Spanish), January 2005 of the International Sugar Journal by L.W. Weiss (Sugars International LLC).  It discusses the future use of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) employing Extensible Markup Language (XML) with Web Services and SOAP to pass information between programs.  Also, it shows the import of XML data into a Sugars model using the Advanced Monitoring System (AMS).  File size: 212KB.

Modeling the New Technology Raw Sugar Factory/Refinery Using Sugars™ for Windows® - Published in Volume CIII, Issue No. 1231, July 2001 of the International Sugar Journal by José F. Alvarez, Carmen Y. Baez-Smith and L. Warner Weiss.  This paper covers modeling of the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida raw sugar factory with ultra filtration, juice softening, chromatographic separation and crystallization added to the factory to produce 500 tons per day of refined sugar using approximately 20% of the clarified juice. Industrial performance of the mechanical vapor recompression and multiple effect evaporator system: successful operation and significant reduction in steam usage - Presented to the American Society of Sugar Beet Technologists (ASSBT) meeting, February 2001 by James Pope and Jeffrey Hude.  This design paper shows the design and modeling of a raffinate evaporator system for a molasses desugarization plant.  The modeling was done using Sugars.  File size: 394KB.
